Everyone is welcome here

Hi, my name is Chrystal Bray. After many solo, soul-led pilgrimages across the world and experiencing profound changes in my personal life—losing my father, loved ones, and becoming an empty nester—I yearned for a sanctuary, a place to slow down and simply be. A space where I could reconnect with nature, hear the birds sing, and hike in peace every day. This is why I created Lotus House.

Lotus House is not just a personal retreat but a space for others to find love, healing, and growth. It's a sanctuary where the outside world's chaos and noise do not penetrate—a place where time stands still, and inner alchemy begins.

Here, I welcome fellow seekers on their own journeys. It is a sacred space to nourish the seeds of our souls and allow them to blossom into the magnificent beings we are meant to be. Like the lotus flower that rises from the mud to bloom in beauty, we too are divine expressions of life, each unique and powerful.

Lotus House is a place for rest, rejuvenation, and sacred connection—a home for women’s retreats, where together we can nourish our inner wisdom and allow our true selves to emerge.

About Chrystal Bray

I am woman guiding women through the wild, dynamic feminine experience. I savour every minute of it myself. I have a 200-hour RYT yoga teacher certification and have trained as a meditation teacher, sound healer, breathworker, transcendental dance meditation facilitator, and sacred ceremonialist. My journey has included advanced studies in womb wisdom, sound healing, and various somatic and esoteric healing modalities.

For two years, I traveled solo on soul-guided pilgrimages across multiple countries, seeking truth and wisdom. Along the way, I participated in many plant medicine journeys, deepening my connection to the earth and to myself.

After spending a lifetime in a fundamentalist Christian group and raising a family within it, I experienced a profound midlife awakening. This awakening ignited a dormant truth within me, awakening me to the knowledge stored deep in my bones. I realized I had spent so long striving for perfection and following rules dictated by others that I had lost touch with who I truly was. There was no textbook to guide me—I had to find my way on my own.

Through my journey of deconstructing the religious beliefs I was raised with, I found inspiration in books like Untamed by Glennon Doyle and Women Who Run with the Wolves. These works helped me realize that the wisdom I was seeking outside had been inside me all along, waiting for me to listen.

Untaming myself has been a long and, at times, lonely path, but it has been perfectly aligned with my growth. During this transformation, I lost my spouse of 25 years, both of my parents, and many of my closest friends and family. Yet through it all, I was led to sell my belongings and travel abroad, shedding layers of who I wasn’t to discover who I truly am.

As I journeyed through new countries, met new people, and experienced life in a childlike, joyful way, I learned to sit in stillness, marveling at the synchronicities and magic of life. I began to reconnect with my senses, embracing the joy in small moments: feeling the wind on my face, watching butterflies flit by, or simply breathing deeply. This newfound freedom allowed me to explore healing modalities and push myself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Each experience brought me closer to my truth.

When I returned home to care for my dying father, I realized I had reached a new level of understanding. Afterward, I created Lotus House, a space for women to reconnect with their inner wisdom and untame themselves. I am not a guru, nor do I claim to have all the answers. I’m simply a woman who has lived a life of transformation and is now ready to share the knowledge and tools that have helped me along the way.

My life is far from perfect, but that’s the beauty of it. I have learned to embrace imperfection and find joy in simply being. I invite women to join me on this journey of discovery—to unleash their wildness, reclaim their power, and remember the magic that exists within them. We all have this inner knowing, but sometimes we need space and stillness to hear it. Lotus House is that space.

Wabi-sabi, the art of imperfection, teaches us that we don’t need to wait for everything to be perfect before we start. We crawl, we stumble, and eventually, we find our way. And that is more than enough.
