How to get here?

We are conveniently located approximately 2 hours from SJO airport. You can rent a car or hire a private transfer in which we can help you arrange. As well as get you in touch with shuttle services that depart twice daily from SJO. There is also a bus from San Jose Central Station that comes to Jaco, but then you need to hire a private transport approximately 8km up the mountain, to get here.

We will gladly assist you with what method works best for you and your group. There is a road coming from the city (north) that is easily driveable year round. However the short cut road to Jaco during the rainy season will need a 4x4. Put in “B&B Relax” in Google Maps for easy directions from the airport.

What are the check in, check out times?

You can check in at 2 or earlier by request. It is advised to arrive at Lotus House before sunset at 5:30 simply because it is very dark, and weather conditions can change suddenly so it is good to be off the roads at night in Costa Rica. There’s also lack of street lights and unexpected potholes in many parts of Costa Rica, making it sometimes unsafe to drive at night. Check out is at 11 am, or later if by request.

Do I need prior experience for Yoga or Meditation?

No. All levels and prior experience is welcome and accommodated here at Lotus House.

Is the property family friendly, or pet friendly?

Absolutely. All age groups, and pets can for the most part be accomodated, please check in advance if the area will be suitable for your pet. Lotus House is a perfect place for large families to gather to just relax and soak in nature, and to use as a home base, whilst doing excusions in the area.

Is Parking Available?

Yes, some limited parking is available.

Smoking or Drinking Policies?

In order to be a mindful of all guests here we are a smoke free establishment. If people would like to walk off grounds to have a smoke, they are welcome to do so at their leisure, just as you are mindful of leaving no trace behind in nature.

Lotus House is a wellness focused retreat center committed to providing a tranquil and healing environment. As part of this vision, we maintain a substance free policy, including alcohol, to ensure all guests can fully embrace the restorative experience.

If you are renting the whole venue, and would like special accommodations, we can make these on a case by case basis.

Is wifi available?

Yes at the moment we have a fiber optic line to the house. Soon we will also have Starlink.

What should I bring?

Any and all personal Items for you. Towels and yoga mats and props are provided. If you are hiking and would like to have natural bug repellant, that can sometimes be helpful for people. Good hiking shoes, water shoes etc are always a good idea in the tropics. Basic toiletries are provided.

What languages are spoken at Lotus House?

Typically English. Yoga is taught in English. However all handouts, directions are given in both Spanish and English.

What activities and experiences are offered at Lotus House?

Upon request we can call in a masseuse, and esthetician. Sometimes sound healing sessions are also available. We have an Ice bath, swimming pool, abundance of nature trails and waterfalls leaving straight from the house. Many world class beaches are within a 20-45 min drive, depending on which ones you would like to go to. There is an adventure park nearby, as well as a few local restaurants. We can also help arrange excursions in the nearby area, such as a private boat tour to Tortuga Island, a sunset cruise, or white water river rafting and ATV tours to name a few.

Dietarty and lifestyle preferences?

We can easily accomodate most diets. As well as some allergies and restricitons, please let us know in advance, for any special requests. All food is clean organic, and locally sourced.

What is included in my stay?

Nightly accommodation, breakfast, and a morning yoga session. Guests have use of all the amenities on grounds, as well as neighbouring waterfalls and nature trails.
